The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, inaugurated the “Rabieh Kadanah” project in Mina, following its completion and operational readiness, as part of the preparations for the Hajj season 1447 AH/2026 AD.

The project is part of specific initiatives aimed at developing pilgrims’ services through modern construction solutions that contribute to maximizing the use of spaces inside Mina, raising the capacity and improving the quality of accommodation in a way that enhances the efficiency of services provided to the guests of God.

The area of the project, which is located on the eastern side of Mina, exceeds 33 thousand square meters, with built-up areas of approximately 48 thousand square meters distributed among 62 buildings.

The project accommodates more than 15,000 pilgrims within an integrated system supported by transportation and logistics services that facilitate the movement of pilgrims.

It is noteworthy that Mina is a valley surrounded by mountains, located east of Mecca, between Mecca and Muzdalifah, and is considered one of the most prominent holy sites.

It is known as the “Tent City” and is the largest in the world, hosting more than two million pilgrims to spend the night there during the Day of Tarwiyah and the Days of Tashreeq.

Stone stoning, sacrifice, and overnight stays are performed there. It is distinguished by the provision of fire-resistant tents and integrated facilities.
