Tehran pledges a response soon to the American targeting of the Iranian ship
I pledged Iran will respond soon to the US Navy attacking one of its commercial ships and landing soldiers on board, while the ship was trying to break The American blockade imposed on Iranian ports.
The Iranian ISNA agency quoted the spokesman for the central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbia of the Iranian military command, as saying: "The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will soon respond and take necessary measures against this act of armed piracy and against the US military"
The military spokesman accused the United States of violating the ceasefire.
Taking control of the Iranian ship
The American President said Donald Trump On Sunday, a US destroyer fired on a cargo ship flying the Iranian flag in the Gulf of Oman, after it tried to break a naval blockade imposed by the United States.
He added: "Currently, US Marines are in control of the ship"
On Friday, Tehran announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas production usually passes, after a temporary ceasefire was agreed upon between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
But Tehran re-closed the strait after Trump insisted that the blockade imposed on Iranian ports would remain until a final agreement was reached.
Trump’s accusation against Iran
In a previous post on Sunday, Trump accused Tehran of violating the ceasefire, which expires on Wednesday, by launching attacks on Saturday in the strategic shipping lane.
