A shooting occurred on a university campus in America…and the police confirm that there were casualties

The University of Iowa, located in midwestern United States Police opened an investigation into A shooting incidentoccurred on Saturday night at the educational institution, confirmed "Casualties occurred"

The university said in a statement published on its website shortly after two in the morning (7:00 GMT). "Emergency teams are on site. Casualties have been confirmed. Please avoid the area"without providing further details.

The university indicated that reports of gunfire had been received near the intersection of College and Clinton Streets, an area known for its bustling nightlife.
