Two environmental specialists confirmed to Al-Youm on the occasion of Atmospheric pollution and global warming represent the most serious threat to the Earth currently, as a result of escalating industrial emissions, vehicle exhausts, the burning of fossil fuels, and ongoing deforestation.

Al-Najem pointed out that the “Green Saudi Arabia” initiative charts practical, sustainable paths by raising the efficiency of waste management, reducing dependence on plastic, expanding afforestation projects, reducing carbon emissions, and rationalizing water consumption.
He stressed that protecting the environment begins with the individual’s daily behavior by rationalizing consumption and community participation, to ensure the stability of the environmental balance and secure a healthy planet for future generations.
