UAE youth shape the future of agriculture using the language of data and artificial intelligence

Al Ain, April 22 / WAM / A number of entrepreneurs and startup owners participating in the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026 confirmed that the exhibition represents a strategic platform that supports innovation and that the value of participation is not limited to attendance and introducing projects, but rather extends to building bridges of communication with potential investors and partners, and direct knowledge of market needs.
Engineer Moaz Muhammad, Halal management and follow-up systems analyst in the “Raee” project, which is a smart application that provides a unified platform for managing Halal data through a professional user interface, confirmed that the project’s participation in the exhibition highlights the importance of digital solutions in supporting the livestock sector, as it is one of the vital pillars related to food security. It also reflects the ability of technology to provide practical and easy tools for breeders, in line with innovation and sustainability trends in the agricultural sector.
He added: “The exhibition places us in the heart of an integrated system that includes the farmer, the government agency, the investor, the expert, and the consumer. For emerging companies, this environment gives innovation a real opportunity to be tested against realistic needs, and to move from just a promising idea to a project capable of making a tangible impact in the agricultural sector.”
This proposal reflects an important aspect of the value that the exhibition adds to startup companies, and extends to creating an interactive environment that allows innovators to test their solutions in the field, build quality professional relationships, and enhance opportunities to transform ideas into more mature and broad practical applications within the agricultural and food sector.
For his part, Muthanna Sherzad, founder and CEO of Protium Technologies, which specializes in redefining biotechnology by integrating advanced genetic engineering with artificial intelligence and supercomputing capabilities, explained that what the agricultural sector is witnessing in the country today reflects a qualitative shift in the way agriculture itself is understood.
He said: “We are facing a new phase in which agriculture is no longer separate from artificial intelligence, data analysis, or digital solutions. What we are developing today is not limited to being a technology alone, but rather represents a system of tools that help to read reality accurately, improve resource efficiency, and develop production in a more responsive manner to climate and economic variables. The exhibition gives us an important opportunity to present this vision in an environment that believes in innovation and searches for practical solutions.”
He added that the exhibition constitutes a major platform for displaying innovations to specialists, investors and stakeholders in the agricultural sector, providing broader opportunities to exchange experiences and explore areas of cooperation and expansion, as well as highlighting scientific solutions capable of facing the challenges of agriculture in harsh environments, and enhancing sustainability and food security.
This proposal reflects the growing awareness among young entrepreneurs that the future of agriculture has become more linked to the ability to employ technology to address field challenges, and to transform data into effective tools in raising efficiency and enhancing sustainability, thus establishing the presence of innovation as an essential element in developing the agricultural and food sector.
The presence of these projects at the exhibition also reveals another dimension that is no less important, which is the growing confidence in the ability of young national talents to break into the fields most closely related to future challenges. These pioneers do not come to the agricultural sector by chance, but rather out of a conviction that this sector will be one of the most important fields of innovation in the coming years, and that smart agricultural solutions will become an essential part of the sustainable development equation.
Noura Jamali, Director of Digital Marketing at Watermelon, which specializes in providing an integrated digital system for food and beverage services, confirmed that the importance of the exhibition stems from it being a platform that brings together entrepreneurs with the actual users of solutions, potential partners, and entities capable of incubating ideas and supporting their development. She pointed out that this type of meeting creates a qualitative impact on the path of startups, by linking innovation to national priorities, and deepening the understanding of the sector’s needs, which opens the way for the development of more mature and sustainable solutions.
Moza Al-Saridi, founder of De Lavande, pointed out the vital role that the exhibition plays in highlighting innovative projects, especially those that provide practical solutions that are easy to apply, scalable and measurable, which contributes to supporting the country’s trends in food security and consolidating the principles of sustainability. This proposal confirms that the value that the exhibition provides to emerging companies is not limited to the exhibition space and introducing projects, but rather extends to creating a professional environment that opens the way for direct dialogue, building partnerships, and developing solutions that are more closely related to the sector’s needs and priorities.
