Trump’s envoy demands that Iran be replaced by Italy in the World Cup

The Financial Times reported that the US President’s envoy, Paolo Zampolli, asked the President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, to replace Iran with Italy in the next World Cup, justifying his request that Italy’s victory in the title four times in the tournament’s history justifies granting it this seat.

The tournament is scheduled to start next June, and will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
