Under the directives of the President of the UAE, the UAE Ambassador to Chad lays the foundation stone for the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Hospital in N’Djamena

ABU DHABI, 25 APRIL / WAM / Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, His Excellency Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Chad, laid the foundation stone for the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Hospital and the dialysis center in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, in the presence of His Excellency Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Chad. Abdelmajeed Abdelrahim Mohamed, Chadian Minister of Public Health and Prevention, along with a large number of ministers, representatives of Chadian government institutions, and members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to Chad, as well as Mr. Hamad Ahmed Al Hosani, CEO of International Partnership at the Emirati company Burjeel.
His Excellency stressed that this large medical edifice, which bears a name that is dear to us in the UAE, is not just a health facility, but rather a living extension of the immortal humanitarian legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, to serve all of humanity, a continuation of the UAE’s pioneering global role in developing societies, and an affirmation of the depth of the bonds of friendship and brotherhood that exist between the governments and peoples of our two friendly countries, and the strengthening of the bonds of cooperation between them in all fields.
He added that this project embodies the depth of the established historical relations between the UAE and the Republic of Chad, as relations move into a prosperous partnership based on mutual respect and common interests.
His Excellency Al Shamsi also pointed out that this medical facility, whose total cost is about 36 million US dollars and whose services cover about two million beneficiaries, provides comprehensive medical care through emergency services, laboratories, and 11 specialized clinics, and provides its services to 500 patients weekly. The hospital will be managed by Burjeel Hospital Company.
Following the laying of the foundation stone, His Excellency Alamai Halina, Prime Minister of the Republic of Chad, received His Excellency Al Shamsi and Mr. Hamad Al Hosani, where His Excellency expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership of the UAE for this vital project, stressing that it will contribute directly to supporting the health sector in the country and providing high-quality specialized services.
His Excellency also explained that the project represents a qualitative step to enhance Chadian citizens’ access to advanced health care, and embodies the depth of the distinguished relations between the two countries, stressing the existence of many opportunities to develop bilateral relations and strengthen the Emirati-Chadian partnership, in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples.
