Al Ain, April 28 / WAM / The Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center organized a dialogue session entitled “Motherhood is a homeland… from which we sip loyalty and belonging,” as part of the “Umm Hamda Council” initiative, which is concerned with enhancing the role of the mother in building the human being and consolidating the societal value system.
The session is the third stop in the series of dialogue meetings of the initiative, as it highlighted the essential position of the mother as the first school in which values are instilled, awareness is built, and through which true belonging to the homeland is formed.
The session emphasized that motherhood is not only an emotional role, but rather a national responsibility that contributes to creating generations capable of carrying the nation’s message and moving it towards a sustainable future.
The session began with the vision of the “Umm Hamda Council,” which is one of the purposeful initiatives launched by Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, and intellectually sponsored by Moza Al Qubaisi, cultural advisor to Sheikha Shamma, to be a dialogue forum that enriches societal awareness and opens horizons for exchanging expertise and experiences between mothers and educational elites.
The session witnessed the participation of an elite group of female educators and academics, where Kannah Al Nasiri addressed the topic “Motherhood and the nation are two sides of the same coin,” stressing the importance of investing in parental upbringing as the basis for building children’s personalities, while Salma Al Ketbi discussed the concept of loyalty to the nation as a lifeblood that nourishes the feelings of dignity, pride, and honor of the Emirati individual.
For her part, Aisha Al Muhairi reviewed the role of motherhood as a winning bet in building future generations, stressing the importance of education and work in achieving national sustainability, and Dhabia Al Mazrouei and Noura Al Rashidi discussed ways to translate the roles of motherhood into effective energy that contributes to promoting development, by instilling love for the homeland and motivating children to achieve and give.
The session as a whole emphasized that the mother is the main pillar in consolidating the values of loyalty and belonging, and that her role goes beyond the boundaries of the family to include building a cohesive society based on awareness and responsibility, stressing the importance of continuing such initiatives that elevate the status of the mother and highlight her pivotal role in creating generations.
She also stressed that the “Umi Hamda Council” represents a living model of sustainable national giving, and an inspiring arena for promoting human values, consolidating a culture of dialogue, and building community awareness that contributes to supporting the nation’s progress and prosperity.
