The race, formerly known as the Criterium du Dauphine, is one of the most prominent preparatory races for the Tour de France, as it extends over eight stages that include difficult mountain tracks with a total of 1,207 kilometers and more than 22,000 meters of climbing.
The team competes under the supervision of sports directors Fabrizio Guidi, Thomas Gil, and Marco Marzano, while the lineup includes, in addition to Joao Almeida and Isaac del Toro, the riders Benoit Kosnefroy, Ivo Oliveira, Pavel Sivakov, Pablo Torres, and Kevin Vermarque.
The team is also counting on Frenchman Benoit Cosnefroy, who is going through a distinguished period after achieving four victories last May, including winning the Morbihan Grand Prix, the Tour of Hungary, and the Bocle de la Maine.
Slovenian Tadi Pogacar gave the UAE team its first title in this race last year, after winning the overall title and achieving three stage victories. The team had previously won stages through Dan Martin in 2018, Davide Formolo in 2020, and Mikkel Berg in 2023.
The Emirates Team enters the race with 36 victories during the 2026 season, hoping to strengthen its record and continue its strong results on the global stage.
