"Tecom" Expanding the advanced industries system through a new project

Abu Dhabi, 7 May / WAM / Dubai Industrial City, affiliated with TECOM Group, signed a Musataha agreement with Abdul Jalil Al Asmawi Group, one of the largest independent family groups in the country, with the aim of expanding the group’s operations by establishing one of the first factories for the production and renewal of oil and gas well drilling rigs in the country, as part of the activities of the fifth edition of the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform.
The agreement reflects the pivotal role that Dubai Industrial City continues to play in supporting the growth of the industrial sector and promoting advanced industries, as the Abdul Jalil Al Asmawi Group will invest an additional 45 million dirhams in its new project, bringing its total investments within Dubai Industrial City to about 500 million dirhams.
The expansion project will provide more than 330,000 square feet of new space, bringing the total space leased by the group in Dubai Industrial City to about 4.7 million square feet, with the project expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
Saud Abu Al Shawareb, Executive Vice President of TECOM Group – Industrial Sector, said that Dubai Industrial City continues to support manufacturing companies and enable them to expand within an integrated industrial environment that relies on advanced infrastructure, strategic location and advanced logistics services.
He added that the agreement reflects the growing confidence in Dubai Industrial City as a leading industrial destination that supports the goals of the “300 Billion Project,” the “Make in the Emirates” initiative, and the Dubai Economic Agenda “D33,” and contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the national industrial sector.
It is expected that the new factory will contribute to creating about 200 additional job opportunities, and will include smart and advanced industrial technologies that are compatible with international sustainability and green building standards.
Dubai Industrial City includes more than 1,100 customers and 350 factories that have entered into operation, benefiting from its strategic location near Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport and the Etihad Rail freight station, enhancing its role in supporting regional and global supply chains.
