Al Dhaheri wins first place in Race 2 of Round 4 of the European Regional Formula Championship

Milan, June 22 / WAM / The young Emirati driver, Rashid Al Dhaheri, achieved an important victory in the second race of the fourth round of the European Regional Formula Championship approved by the FIA, which was held yesterday at the Italian Monza circuit.

The victory came after a strong performance by Al Dhaheri on the famous circuit located near the city of Milan, which is considered one of the most prominent car racing circuits in the world, despite the difficult climatic conditions that the tour witnessed, with air temperatures rising to more than 35 degrees Celsius and the circuit temperature touching 50 degrees Celsius.

Al Dhaheri gave a distinguished competitive performance behind the wheel of the “Tatus” car, which belongs to the “Yas Heat” team in cooperation with the French “R-ES GP” team.

He had finished the first qualifying trials in third place in his group, starting from fifth place in the first race, before falling to twelfth place as a result of friction during the competitions.

In the second race, Al Dhaheri started from eighth place according to the inverted grid system, and succeeded in gradually advancing to the lead of the race, maintaining it until the finish line to achieve first place.

The round also witnessed Al Dhaheri’s car being exposed to a technical problem during the second qualifying trials yesterday, which affected his starting position in the third race, but he was able to finish the race in ninth place and score important points in the overall championship standings.
