Saeed Al Tayer reviews clean energy projects with the Qatari Consul
Dubai, May 11 / WAM / His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, briefed His Excellency Saeed bin Ali Al Hajri, Consul General of the sisterly State of Qatar in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, on the Authority’s activities and services during his visit to it.
Al Tayer stressed the authority’s commitment to providing world-class infrastructure according to the highest standards of reliability, efficiency and availability.
During the meeting, the strategic vision of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and its firm commitment to achieving sustainable development were reviewed, in addition to emphasizing the strength of bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar, strengthening the existing aspects of cooperation between the authority and Qatari companies working in the field of electricity and water desalination, and the best ways to increase the pace of this cooperation in order to serve the aspects of integration between bodies, institutions and companies operating in the electricity and water desalination sectors in the GCC countries in order to achieve the benefit of all parties.
Al Tayer touched on the Authority’s most prominent initiatives and pioneering development projects, which are in line with the vision and directives of the wise leadership in the UAE. He also highlighted the Authority’s strategic goals in expanding clean energy projects and accelerating the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, including digitization, artificial intelligence, and advanced innovations.
The two sides stressed their appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the UAE and the State of Qatar, as His Excellency Consul General Al Hajri praised the pioneering role of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in supporting the global transformation in the energy sector.
