28 people were killed after a gold mine collapsed in Angola

At least 28 people were killed after the collapse of an illegally operated gold mine in Angola.

It was reported Angolan Police said in a statement that the victims, aged between 18 and 40, were buried under the rubble as a result of The victims illegally prospected for gold, noting that 13 members of one family were among the dead.

Rescue teams continue searches at the site in case there are other victims or survivors under the rubble.
