Trump downplays the importance of negotiations with Iran and expects a sharp decline in oil prices

US President Donald Trump expressed his indifference to the fate of diplomatic talks with Tehran, stressing at the same time his optimism about the stability of global energy markets.
In statements he made to CNBC,CNBCTrump confirmed that he does not care about the suspension or end of the negotiating track with the Iranian side, saying: “I do not care about the end of the negotiations with Iran… I really do not care at all.”
Regarding concerns related to energy costs as a result of geopolitical tensions, Trump reassured the markets, saying: “I am not worried about oil prices… I believe they will decline sharply in the very near future.”
Regarding the military escalation in the region, the American President revealed his intention to communicate with the Israeli side to find out the latest developments on the ground, as he clearly stated: “I will ask Netanyahu what is happening in Lebanon.”
