316% increase in students at the Emirates College for Educational Development over four years

The Minister of Education, Sarah Al Amiri, revealed that the Emirates College for Educational Development has achieved rapid growth in the number of students, as it has increased by 316% during the past four academic years, in an indicator that reflects the growing national demand for teacher preparation and qualification programs according to the requirements of the future.
Al Amiri said, through her account on the “X” platform, that she chaired the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Emirates College for Educational Development, which reviewed the continuing progress achieved by the college in the areas of academic growth, development of national educational competencies, governance, and institutional transformation.
She added that the council discussed the growth indicators recorded by the college, most notably the large increase in the number of students, which reflects the increasing demand for modern teacher preparation and professional development paths, and its role in supplying the educational sector with qualified national competencies.
She explained that the meeting discussed a number of strategic initiatives in support of the National Framework for Educational Competencies, educational leadership preparation programs, and professional learning supported by artificial intelligence, in addition to ongoing efforts to enhance institutional readiness and support the development of the educational system in the UAE.
