Saif bin Zayed meets with the Kazakh Minister of Internal Affairs and witnesses the signing of a memorandum of understanding to recognize driving licenses

ABU DHABI, 25 JUNE / WAM / Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met with His Excellency Erzhan Sadinov, Minister of Internal Affairs of the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest, ways to enhance cooperation in the police and security fields, and exchange experiences and best practices, in a way that enhances the efficiency and readiness of the police services, and supports the aspirations of the two countries towards greater security, stability and prosperity.

The meeting witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding regarding mutual recognition and replacement of driving licenses issued by the UAE and the Republic of Kazakhstan, in a step that embodies the directives of the wise leadership to provide more facilities for the citizens of the two friendly countries, enhance the quality of life, consolidate bilateral cooperation, and enhance partnership and distinguished relations.

The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, His Excellency Major General Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, His Excellency Brigadier General Saeed Abdullah bin Tuwar Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, along with a number of officers.

On the Kazakh side, His Excellency Rawan Jomabek, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UAE, Murat Gabdinov, Chairman of the Administrative Police Committee, and Ayan Dosembayev, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, were present.
