The Seine River turns into a haven to escape the heat wave in Paris

Today, Saturday, three free and monitored swimming sites were reopened in in the capital in the city.
On its first day, the sites witnessed the influx of large numbers of visitors, who enjoyed swimming and relaxing on the sidewalks, while swimmers were asked to wear yellow buoys to preserve their safety due to the river currents.

American tourist Benjamin Duncan said that the scene that brings together the waters of the Seine River and the Eiffel Tower is one of the most beautiful views he has seen.
Swimming at these sites was prohibited for about a century, before it was re-allowed after Paris hosted the Olympic Games in 2024. Last year, the three sites attracted about 100,000 visitors.
The swimming sites are located in the east, west and center of Paris, and will remain open for free until the end of August. Water quality is subject to frequent checks throughout the day, with visitors informed of the water condition via a system based on green, orange and red flags.
