The King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, affiliated with the Second Jeddah Health Complex, represented by the Nursing Education Department, organized a specialized training course entitled “Preparing Trainers in the Health Field,” presented by Trainer Abdul Rahman Al-Arawi, from which twenty male and female nurses benefited. This step comes within continuing professional development programs that aim to build the capabilities of national nursing cadres and enable them to lead the training process within health facilities in accordance with the latest scientific methodologies and practices.
The course focused on providing participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, implement and evaluate training programs with high efficiency, as the program included various scientific and applied topics. The trainees learned about the fundamental differences between education and training, and the elements of an effective trainer, in addition to employing Pike’s Law in learning and dealing with representational styles, and applying the Cooley model for preparing content, while enhancing presentation and communication skills and managing interactive workshops.
This initiative is an extension of the cluster’s commitment to investing in human capital and aligning with the health cluster’s vision of empowering competencies and achieving institutional excellence. The course also embodies the pursuit of providing comprehensive and integrated care based on the value-based health care model, ensuring increased quality and operational efficiency, and keeping pace with the goals of the health sector transformation program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
