The Secretary-General of the United Nations condolences Qatar on the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

The Secretary-General said in a statement attributed to his spokesman that Sheikh Hamad was a visionary leader who brought about a transformation in the course of his country and its people.

The Secretary-General extended his sincere condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, and to the government and people of the State of Qatar.
