The Arab League denounces the continued aggressive Iranian attacks on the UAE and a number of Arab countries

Nabil Fahmy, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, expressed his categorical rejection and strong denunciation of Iran’s continued pursuit of policies and practices that would destabilize the security and stability of the region, in violation of the principles of international law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution No. 2817, in addition to violating the rules of good neighborliness, by repeating Iranian attacks on commercial ships in a way that threatens the security and freedom of international navigation, and continuing the sinful attacks that targeted the United Arab Emirates. The United States, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In a statement issued by the Arab League today, the Secretary-General renewed his categorical rejection of any practices that affect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Arab countries and constitute a threat to their national security and stability.

He stressed that it is not possible to accept any justifications for these rejected and condemned attacks, stressing that the security of the Arab countries is an indivisible whole, and that any infringement on the sovereignty of any Arab country represents an unacceptable violation that requires a unified and firm Arab position.

He renewed the Arab League’s full solidarity with the Arab countries in confronting these aggressive attacks, and its support for all legitimate measures they take to defend their sovereignty, protect their security, and secure their people, calling on the Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take effective steps to stop these violations, ensure respect for international law, and maintain the security of international navigation, in a way that contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
