Foreign investors pumped $1.6 billion (6 billion riyals) into the Saudi stock market during the second quarter of 2026, recording the highest net purchases in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, according to a recent report.

The company revealed "Kamco Invest" In its latest report that The Saudi financial market was the only market in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries that recorded net foreign purchases during the second quarter, while all other stock exchanges recorded net selling by foreign investors.

This stable performance of the Saudi Stock Exchange comes in light of the Kingdom’s continued attraction of international capital, supported by strong corporate profits and ongoing economic reforms, while Saudi Arabia’s vision aims to attract Foreign direct investments worth $100 billion annually by 2030.

A report stated: "Kamco Invest": "The quarterly data of trading activity on the stock exchanges of Gulf Cooperation Council All stock exchanges recorded net foreign sellers during the second quarter of 2026, with the exception of Saudi Arabia, which recorded net foreign buyers worth US$1.6 billion during the quarter, which partially offset overall net sales."

The report also indicated that the Kingdom recorded stable net foreign buying throughout the months of the second quarter of 2026. In contrast, the stock exchanges of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman witnessed stable net selling during each month of the quarter.

Saudi Stock Trading

The Saudi stock market recorded a noticeable increase in terms of trading, as the value of traded shares increased from 77.5 billion US dollars in the first quarter of 2026 to 86.4 billion US dollars in the second quarter.

Five listed Saudi companies topped the list of the ten most traded stocks in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in terms of value during the second quarter.

The total trading value of these ten stocks amounted to 36.2 billion US dollars, representing 23.1% of the total trading value on the stock exchanges of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
