“Jumeirah” expands in Africa through two new destinations

Jumeirah, a member of Dubai Holding, announced a partnership with the Thanda Group to add two new exclusive destinations. The first is the luxurious “Jumeirah Thanda Island”, a villa for private use in the Shongembili Marine Reserve in Tanzania, while the second is “Jumeirah Thanda”, a villa for private use in the Shongembili Marine Reserve in Tanzania. Jumeirah Thanda Safari Tent is one of the most luxurious and luxurious private safari destinations in South Africa, consisting of a group of luxury branded residences and a members-only club.
A statement issued yesterday stated that the two destinations come within the framework of Jumeirah’s plan to expand into new areas within the African continent, and it seeks to implement it by concluding important partnerships with other brands that share its values that celebrate heritage, culture and environmental protection.
The name “Thanda” itself, which means “love” in the Zulu language, embodies the essence of the experiences offered by “Jumeirah” in the new destinations, as each destination is designed with the aim of strengthening deep connections with nature and the local community.
Chief Operating Officer and Interim CEO of Jumeirah, Thomas Mayer, said: “Our strategy at Jumeirah is clear in terms of expansion and growth in the future, and we have a specific plan to achieve it.”
He added: “We want to grow sustainably into new destinations and diversify our portfolio, focusing on properties that enhance their attractiveness to guests with unique experiences rooted in culture and the spirit of communication.”
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Founding Partner of the Thanda Group, Pierre Delvaux, said: “We are pleased with the partnership with Jumeirah, which has instilled optimism in the Thanda team about the future and the successes it holds for us.”
He added: “Our joint mission with Jumeirah is to provide unique experiences to our guests while continuing to raise the quality of hospitality to new heights.”
