Abu Dhabi enhances emergency response and industrial safety

ABU DHABI, 6 December / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Investment Office signed a memorandum of understanding with both the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority and Ambibar Company, which specializes in the field of industrial services and environmental solutions, with the aim of enhancing cooperation opportunities, emergency preparedness, achieving industrial safety in Abu Dhabi, and supporting response capabilities. emergency industrial sector, building local competencies, skills and innovation and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology.

The memorandum was signed as part of the first session of Abu Dhabi Business Week, which is held at the ADNEC Center Abu Dhabi, with the aim of employing the expertise of the three parties to ensure enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability of industrial safety procedures in the emirate.

Under the memorandum, the three parties will cooperate to discuss opportunities to establish the first center in the region for emergency preparedness training in the industrial sector, which supports the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to promoting innovation in the field of industrial safety and emergency management.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office’s support for Ambibar comes as part of its efforts to attract investors and facilitate their entry into the Abu Dhabi market, provide strategic guidance, facilitate their integration into the business system in the emirate, and strengthen local partnerships in a way that contributes to accelerating the deployment of emergency response solutions and innovative industrial services.

The memorandum aims to discuss ways of joint cooperation with “Ambibar” to employ remote control technologies, such as drones and driverless vehicles, to improve inspection, inspection and asset management procedures in industrial facilities, in a way that reduces the workforce’s exposure to risks and enhances operational efficiency, in addition to examining opportunities. Employing its techniques in examining safety procedures in industrial facilities, ships, and floating units for production, storage, and unloading, in a way that enhances the emirate’s efforts to manage its vital infrastructure in a sustainable manner.

The memorandum also aims to define frameworks for integrating the latest technologies and best industrial practices into the emergency response sector in the emirate.

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority will also explore opportunities for cooperation with Ambibar to transfer basic knowledge and technologies in the field of dealing with hazardous materials in emergency situations, which will enhance the authority’s operational capabilities.

His Excellency Brigadier General Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, said that cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Ambibar contributes to enhancing emergency response readiness and developing local capabilities in the field of industrial safety.

For his part, Mohammed Al Kamali, CEO of Trade and Industry at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, said that this cooperation represents an important step in supporting Abu Dhabi’s efforts to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of its industrial sector, which is the main engine for achieving its strategic goals and accelerating economic growth in the emirate.

For his part, Rodrigo Paiva, CEO of Ambibar in the Middle East and North Africa region, said that cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority contributes to employing emergency management and industrial safety solutions in Abu Dhabi, and also allows us to contribute to supporting the emirate’s efforts to enhance sustainability.
