The Minister of Health discusses the developments of the global initiative for children’s cancer

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with a delegation from the World Health Organization, to follow up on the developments of the global initiative for children’s cancer (GICC), on the sidelines of the activities of the workshop on Egypt’s role in joining the global initiative of children’s cancer. International, to achieve the interest of patients and provide them with the latest methods of treatment according to the highest international standards. Adding that Egypt joined this initiative in September 2023.

on his part, Dr. Naama Abed praised the representative of the World Health Organization in Egypt With the great efforts made by the Egyptian state in the field of health care, appreciating its success in eliminating the C virus as a role model, and praised its pioneering role in launching many health initiatives, especially the initiative to support women’s health for early detection of breast cancer, which reflects the state’s commitment to achieving the sustainable development goals in the health sector. Specialized, the Secretariat plays a pivotal role in implementing the global initiative for children’s cancer (GICC), by developing oncology care services in affiliated hospitals, and modernizing therapeutic protocols according to international standards, which contributes to raising healing rates, confirming the secretariat’s commitment to support the Ministry’s efforts, to ensure the best health care for children with cancer.
