المملكة: Due to tampering with the emergency handles…the first suspension on the Riyadh Metro lines

The Riyadh Metro announced a partial suspension of service on the blue track between the Alinma Bank and STC stations, indicating that the suspension resulted from tampering with the emergency handles on the trains.
The Riyadh Metro administration stressed in a statement its concern for the safety and comfort of passengers, calling on them to follow safety instructions and adhere to the system inside the trains, in order to ensure the safety of everyone and the smooth flow of transportation.

The Riyadh Metro administration indicated that it is working to restore service as soon as possible, asking passengers to be careful in using the train facilities and not to tamper with them.

It is noteworthy that the Riyadh Metro witnesses a large demand from citizens and residents, and is considered one of the most important public transportation projects in the capital, and contributes to alleviating traffic congestion.
The first three routes of the Riyadh Metro (first, fourth and sixth) were launched, to provide all amenities for passengers during transportation, as well as to save a lot of time.

Riyadh Public Transport also provided a set of instructions that must be adhered to when using Riyadh Metro stations, including the importance of placing luggage in designated places, refraining from smoking, and adhering to the dress code in public places.
It also included the necessity of sticking to the category specified in your ticket, refraining from eating and drinking, maintaining calm, and keeping the place clean, stressing that the priority is always getting off before boarding.
The Riyadh Metro runs on 6 tracks, with a length of 176 km covering the entire city of Riyadh. It also consists of 185 trains with 448 cars with a modern design. Its capacity is 16 million passengers per day.
