The Riyadh Metro administration indicated that it is working to restore service as soon as possible, asking passengers to be careful in using the train facilities and not to tamper with them.
It is noteworthy that the Riyadh Metro witnesses a large demand from citizens and residents, and is considered one of the most important public transportation projects in the capital, and contributes to alleviating traffic congestion.
The first three routes of the Riyadh Metro (first, fourth and sixth) were launched, to provide all amenities for passengers during transportation, as well as to save a lot of time.

The Riyadh Metro runs on 6 tracks, with a length of 176 km covering the entire city of Riyadh. It also consists of 185 trains with 448 cars with a modern design. Its capacity is 16 million passengers per day.

The Riyadh Metro cars and stations are equipped with advanced monitoring systems, and are powered by electric power using the “driverless automated train” system.
The Riyadh Metro also includes 55 stations, including 4 main stations implemented with unique urban designs.
The Riyadh Metro stations are divided into 4 underground stations, 34 overhead stations, and 47 underground stations.

Some stations on the Riyadh Metro also include shops, commercial services, and parking lots.
The Riyadh Metro is also equipped with amenities, safety and trip information systems, and provides 19 parking facilities, and 7 sites for train lodging and maintenance.
