"Readiness" It launches virtual and field clinics in various emirates of the country
Abu Dhabi, 15 March / WAM / The Emirates National Program for Medical Preparedness and Response, “Jaheziya”, launched a new station of virtual and field clinics in residential neighborhoods in various emirates of the country, under the slogan “Together we respond to the health of our community… and the preparedness of our nation”, as part of an initiative led by Emirati doctors to promote community health and expand the scope of voluntary health services within residential areas.
The initiative aims to enable Emirati doctors to provide health and preventive consultations remotely through virtual clinics, and to participate in field health volunteering within residential neighborhoods, which contributes to enhancing health awareness and providing initial medical support to citizens and residents, in addition to training community members to deal with emergency cases and enhancing the role of reserve and volunteer medical teams as a first line of defense in responding to emergency cases.
The initiative is being implemented with the participation of a coalition of governmental, private and non-profit institutions in the country, including the Mobile Community Health Clinics, the National Training Center “Tadareb”, the Emirates Community Medical Emergency Team “CERT”, the Emirates Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Association “Inaash”, the Emirates Giving Association “Ataa”, in addition to the Emirates Program for Community and Specialized Volunteering “Volunteer”.
The station operates through mobile clinics and training units in various emirates of the country under the supervision of the National Community Medical Emergency Teams, where doctors and volunteers participate within a training system that ensures the quality of service and speed of response to emergency cases, while training community members on first aid, controlling bleeding, and dealing with injuries until the ambulance teams arrive.
Virtual clinics also provide awareness consultations and direct cases to the competent authorities, in addition to supporting programs for prevention and early detection of heart, chronic and psychological diseases, and training the community to deal with emergencies according to an internationally approved curriculum.
Dr. Adel Al-Shammari Al-Ajmi, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative and Chairman of the Emirates Doctors Initiative and the Emirates Readiness Program, confirmed that the initiative comes within a national vision to enhance integration between the health and community sectors and consolidate the culture of specialized medical volunteerism.
He explained that it is part of an integrated national system for preparedness and response that aims to attract medical personnel and train them in accordance with the best international standards and enable them to volunteer specializedly, in a way that enhances the community’s readiness and speed of response to serve the nation. He pointed out that it is an innovative initiative that reflects the support of the wise leadership and constitutes a model to be emulated locally and internationally.
