Kalimat Foundation: The UAE has promoted various forms of cognitive investment for children

Sharjah, 15 March / WAM / Kalimat Publishing Corporation confirmed that the United Arab Emirates has realized that investing in knowledge is the most powerful way to shape the future of its people. Therefore, for decades, it has placed children at the heart of its development vision, to ensure that Emirati children grow in educational and supportive environments, while providing the opportunities they need to learn, explore and achieve their full potential without limits.
Amna Al Mazmi, Director of the Kalimat Foundation, said: Today, as the country continues to promote the process of digital transformation, the concept of knowledge has taken on new dimensions in line with the requirements of the digital age. The slogan of this year’s Emirati Children’s Day, “The Right to Digital Knowledge,” comes to reflect this transformation, and to remind us that empowering children today is not limited to teaching them to read only, but also includes providing them with the ability to deal with knowledge in a responsible manner in a digital world shaped by algorithms, artificial intelligence, and an unprecedented flow of information.
She added: We at the Foundation view digital knowledge as a natural extension of our mission to guarantee every child’s right to access knowledge. Just as access to books opens horizons for imagination and learning, digital literacy provides children with critical thinking skills, awareness, and confidence that enable them to interact with information, create ideas, and contribute to shaping the future.
