Israel bombs Syria’s chemical weapons stockpile

Israeli Channel 12 reported on Friday evening that the Israeli occupation army bombed a chemical weapons stockpile in Syria, and suggested that this was done with the aim of preventing opposition factions from accessing it. This comes as the opposition factions advance, today, Friday, towards the city of Homs, the third largest city in Syria, the day after they took control of the city of Hama, located north of it, according to what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported, as part of a surprise attack against the regime forces, which enabled them to control large areas in Within days. Today, the Syrian opposition factions announced control of the Nassib border crossing with Jordan. The Israeli occupation army began to mobilize large forces on the border with Syria in the occupied Golan Heights, in light of the developments in Syria and the ongoing fighting between the armed opposition factions and the Syrian regime forces. Israeli media reported that since yesterday, the Israeli army had transferred forces from several units to the 210th Military Division deployed on the border, claiming to be wary of events that might get out of control, lead to battles on the border, and penetrate into settlements in the Golan.
