We received an American letter and are working to review it

A senior Iranian Foreign Ministry official told CBS News on Monday that Iran had received a message from the United States through intermediaries as a possible preliminary step for talks between the two warring countries, after President Trump indicated the possibility of reaching an agreement.
The Iranian official said: “We have received points from the United States through intermediaries, and they are being reviewed.”
Earlier Monday, Iran denied holding negotiations with the United States, after US President Donald Trump postponed the implementation of his threat to bomb the Iranian energy network based on what he described as fruitful talks with Iranian officials whose identity was not revealed.
Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform that the United States and Iran held “very good and constructive” talks about “a final and comprehensive solution to hostilities in the Middle East.” As a result, he said he was postponing a plan to bomb Iran’s power grid for 5 days.
