Dubai Electricity provides proactive services to users of electric vehicles

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority provides pioneering smart services to electric vehicle users through the “Green Charger” service, which provides the infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations in Dubai.

Non-Dubai Electricity customers can apply for a green charger card through the Authority’s website or smart application. After paying the insurance amount and the green charger card delivery fees, the customer’s account for electric vehicles with the Authority will be activated. The smart charging service for electric vehicles enables customers who have electric vehicle accounts with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to charge electric vehicles in a smart way by scanning the QR Code installed on the green charger stations affiliated with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, which are available in various locations in Dubai.

Users who are not registered in the “Green Charger” service can choose the Guest Mode feature and choose one of the available packages to charge their vehicles according to the time period specified by the user and pay the payments and fees due through the multiple payment channels provided by the Authority. In addition to the ability to charge their vehicles using the Authority’s smart application to scan the Quick Response Code (QR Code) located at charging stations, users can read the code directly by opening the smart device’s camera, clicking on the service link, and following the instructions.
