Figures: An increase in the inventory of wholesale warehouses in America

Wholesale warehouse stocks in America rose last October within expectations.
According to data issued by the US Department of Commerce, inventory rose by 0.2%, which is what analysts had also expected after its decline during the previous month.

The slight increase in wholesale warehouse inventories came with durable goods inventories rising 0.1%, while non-durable goods inventories rose 0.3%, during October.
Data from the Ministry of Commerce also showed a decline in wholesale sales in the United States by 0.1% after rising by 0.5% during the previous month, according to the revised data.

Sales of durable goods

While sales of durable goods stabilized during October compared to the previous month, sales of non-durable goods declined by 0.3% during the same month.
Despite the increase in inventory and the decline in sales, the inventory-to-sales ratio stabilized at 1.34 points during October, which is the same level as the previous month.
