The memorandum serves to enrich cultural dialogue and preserve national identity, expand the scope of mutual knowledge and complete understanding of the culture of both countries, and focus on the role of cultural dialogue in preserving national identity and strengthening common relations in cultural fields and files.

The memorandum stipulates the exchange of cultural information and other issues of common interest. Study of the culture, language, literature, arts and heritage of both countries, and cooperation between archive institutions, including online and offline training, exhibitions, best practices in records and archive management, and electronic records management, as well as exploring potential cooperation activities related to By studying and appreciating Javanese manuscripts written in Arabic script in the collection of Spanish records in the National Archives of the Philippines.

His Excellency Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, said that the UAE has strong relations with the Republic of the Philippines. He added that the memorandum serves to strengthen common cultural files between the UAE and the Republic of the Philippines at various levels. The UAE hosts an active Filipino community that shares its rich culture and heritage with us, which contributes to the advancement of joint bilateral relations, and multiplies the positive interaction on important issues such as arts, education, human values, and future visions regarding joint cultural work, which would serve the advancement Cultural reality, and achieving more cooperation between the two countries.

The memorandum seeks to provide the opportunity to translate books related to the languages ​​of both parties into Filipino, English, Arabic, or any other indigenous language, participate in cultural, linguistic, literary and artistic exhibitions and activities, and exchange cooperation in activities related to antiquities, archaeological sites and cultural heritage in each other’s language and the original language.
