The UAE University ranks first locally in the QS Global Sustainability Ranking 2025

The United Arab Emirates University has achieved a remarkable achievement in the QS World Sustainability Rankings 2025, as it ranked first in the country, ranked 58th in Asia and 343rd globally.

This remarkable progress, which witnessed an increase of 51 places compared to last year, reflects the university’s commitment to achieving sustainable development and enhancing its academic leadership.

His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Supreme President of UAE University, stressed that this achievement highlights the university’s continuous efforts to consolidate its position as a leading academic and research destination that contributes to building a more sustainable future.

He said that this achievement reflects the UAE University’s commitment to sustainability as a fundamental pillar of its academic and research journey, through aligning our strategies with the objectives of the COP28 Conference of the Parties, actively participating in COP29 initiatives, hosting international conferences, and launching specialized academic programs.

We work to bring about tangible change at the local and global levels.

The QS Global Sustainability Ranking is an important reference in evaluating universities based on their social and environmental impact, including scientific research, academic initiatives and operational processes.

This classification confirms the UAE University’s commitment to providing innovative solutions to address global challenges, such as climate change and social well-being, through its pioneering research, programs and initiatives.

This achievement strengthens the UAEU’s position as the “University of the Future” and confirms its pivotal role in achieving academic excellence and sustainable innovation at the local and international levels.
