With Winter Ahead.. “V” from BTS topples Mariah Carey on the Billboard chart
American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey is known as the Queen of Christmas due to her hit songs, such as “All I Want for Christmas Is You”, which continues to be number one hits to this day.
As a result, Mariah Carey became the first artist to hold the No. 1 spot on the list in four distinct decades.
As streaming has grown and holiday music has become more prominent on streaming services’ playlists, it reached the top ten on the Hot 100 for the first time in December 2017, and the top five for the first time in the 2018 holiday season.

V tops
Just last week, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts, yet Mariah Carey’s song has now dropped to No. 2.
BTS’s V has dethroned Mariah Carey, as his new single “Winter Ahead,” featuring Park Hyo Shin, debuted at No. 1 on the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart this week.
During the last tracking period in the United States, 10,300 copies of the album “Winter Ahead” were sold, according to data provided by Luminate.
