The Emirates Accounting Authority enhances cooperation with its counterparts in Greece
His Excellency Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas, Chairman of the Emirates Accounting Authority, headed an official working visit to the Republic of Greece, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the fields of oversight and anti-corruption between the two countries.
As part of the visit today, His Excellency the President of the Authority held a number of bilateral ministerial meetings, where he met with Sotiria Antoni, President of the Hellenic Court of Audit, with the aim of reviewing the best practices in the field of audit and oversight.
His Excellency also met with Alexandra Rogkaku, Interim President of the National Transparency Authority in Greece, and they discussed enhancing joint cooperation in the areas of integrity and anti-corruption between the United Arab Emirates and the friendly Republic of Greece.
The Emirates Accounting Authority is keen to strengthen its relations with similar bodies around the world, which contributes to exchanging experiences and consolidating best practices in the fields of oversight and accounting.
According to the agency, these efforts come within the framework of the UAE’s national strategy, which focuses on enhancing coordination and cooperation at the regional and international levels.
