American pop star Taylor Swift, a friend of her fellow star Selena Gomez, was one of the first to react to the latter’s announcement of her engagement, as she commented on the post that Selena shared, indicating that she wanted to play a special role in the wedding.
Commenting on the warm photos that Selena shared on her Instagram account, in which she showed off her diamond engagement ring and her great happiness, Taylor said: “Yes, I will be the flower girl,” which pleased fans, as her comment received more than a million and a half likes. For those who do not know, a “flower girl” is a young female who scatters flower petals down the aisle as the bride and groom walk, during the wedding procession.
Yesterday morning, Thursday, Selena announced the happy news of her engagement to her friend, music producer Benny Blanco, as she shared pictures on Instagram with her 422 million followers, and wrote: “Forever begins now.” The post, which showed off her dazzling new engagement ring, received more than 5.5 million likes in just two hours.
The post included four stunning photos of Gomez, one of which showed her sitting on a picnic blanket in what appeared to be a soundstage, while another showed Blanco happily embracing her.
The engagement ring features a long, symmetrically shaped diamond with the Marquise cut, which gives it exceptional beauty.
The engagement of Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco comes a year and a half after the start of their love relationship, in which they have always stressed their desire to build a family together, as Selena once described Blanco as “the man of her life.”

While Selena is celebrating her engagement, it looks like Taylor Swift might actually be a bride at some point in the near future, as Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce is reportedly planning a proposal so elaborate that it might inspire Swift to write a song about it.
According to sources close to the couple, Kelce is going all out for the show, searching for memorable locations and the perfect engagement ring, which is said to be worth up to $12 million. Sources close to Kels said: “He was putting a lot of pressure on himself; “To make every detail of this presentation perfect, especially the ring.”
Kelce’s desire for perfection does not end with the ring, as he is said to be working on creating an “innovative” proposal experience that Swift will cherish for the rest of her life, and will make her happy with the perfect atmosphere he will create.
