Today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation authorities forced a Palestinian to demolish a warehouse, and notified the demolition of a mosque in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
Palestinian sources reported, according to the Palestinian news agency “Wafa”, that The occupation authorities forced the Palestinian citizen, Youssef Al-Taweel, to demolish his store, knowing that it had been built 43 years ago. Years.
The same sources added that the occupation authorities were notified of the demolition of the Al-Isra Mosque in the town of Silwan within 21 days, in addition to imposing a fine of 40 thousand shekels.
It is noteworthy that the town of Silwan is located one kilometer south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and is inhabited by tens of thousands of Palestinians, who are threatened by the risk of forced displacement, as a result of the targeting of the Israeli occupation. The town was subject to Judaization and settlement.
The town, which dates back more than 5 thousand years, was the first nucleus of the city of Jerusalem, which is called the "Garrison of Jerusalem" Because it forms a protective arc for the Old City along its southern borders, it has been suffering since its occupation in 1967, and half of its neighborhoods are under threat of demolition, under the pretext that they are built on the ruins of the “City of King David,” and other pretexts used by the occupation to seize citizens’ homes, property, and lands, for the benefit of the colonists. .
