“AlexJet” and “Falcon” submit a letter of intent to obtain an “air operator” certificate

The General Civil Aviation Authority announced the receipt of a letter of intent from AlexJet and Falcon Aviation Services, during the Middle East and North Africa Private Aviation Exhibition (MEPA 2024), which is considered a pivotal step to begin the process of AlexJet obtaining the operator’s certificate. The Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, said: “The letter of intent represents an important step that reflects the commitment of (AlexJet and Falcon Aviation Services) to drive operational excellence and innovation, in line with our national goals. The authority affirms its commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the UAE’s global reputation as a center for innovative aviation solutions.”
By submitting the letter of intent, AlexJet and Falcon Aviation Services renew their commitment to advancing progress in the aviation sector in the UAE, and this partnership sets a foundation for excellence, enhancing the UAE’s leading position in global private aviation.
In addition, the General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that it granted Falcon Technic an accredited maintenance organization certificate for aircraft maintenance, repair and refurbishment services.
This came on the sidelines of the Authority’s participation in the Middle East and North Africa Private Aviation Exhibition (MEPA 2024), which recently concluded in Dubai.
The new Falcon Technic facility, with an area of 13,705 thousand square meters, is located in the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Center in Dubai, and is equipped with the latest technology to serve a wide range of aircraft, including large aircraft such as the Airbus A380. The facility also provides customized services. For owners and operators of luxury aircraft, it provides private lounges, advanced workshops, an interior design studio, and high-quality maintenance services.
The Director General of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, said: “Falcon Technic’s obtaining the certificate of an accredited maintenance organization constitutes a qualitative addition to the aviation system in the country, and enhances the competitiveness of the sector by providing world-class services, which supports the UAE’s vision of consolidating its position as a safe destination.” Sustainable for civil aviation.
The Assistant Director General of the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector at the Authority, Engineer Aqeel Ahmed Al Zarouni, emphasized the importance of this achievement, saying, “The approval of (Falcon Technic) under (CAR 145) confirms the UAE’s commitment to maintaining world-class standards in the aviation sector. This achievement not only enhances Dubai’s reputation as a global aviation hub, but also strengthens the UAE’s role in developing the sector regionally and internationally.”
In addition to expanding its accreditations, Falcon Technic is working to enhance its services through specialized workshops, including interior design, wheels and brakes, non-destructive testing (NDT), batteries, and aircraft painting. These facilities aim to provide comprehensive solutions for maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft for the Falcon Lux fleet and external operators.
The CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Centre, Tahnoun Saif, pointed out the importance of the new facility, saying, “Adding the Falcon Technic aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facility is in line with Dubai’s vision to be a leader in private aviation. This advanced infrastructure reflects our commitment to providing innovative services and enhancing the UAE’s role as a center of excellence in the field of aviation.”
With private aircraft traffic at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Center expected to reach 18,000 flights by the end of 2024, Falcon Technic is in a strategic position to support this growing demand, which contributes to achieving the UAE’s vision of becoming a global center for private aviation.
