A 4.8 magnitude earthquake strikes southern Indonesia

Today, an earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the Pututano region in southern Indonesia.
The US Geological Survey reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of ten kilometers, 57 kilometers northeast of Pututano, Indonesia.
There have been no reports so far of human casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
