The Syrian actress Sabah Al-Jazairi, known as “Umm Essam” in the Bab Al-Hara series, broke her silence and commented on her Instagram account for the first time after the fall of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
She accompanied the photo with a comment, where she wrote: “I have become 69 years old, and for a moment in my life I have only wished for goodness and peace for every person in my country, and for every inch of the land of Syria.. My heart has been aching for a long time.. It has been aching for every Syrian who has been deprived of his family and forced to leave his homeland.” And for every mother who lost her children.”
She continued: “After everything I saw and heard about the city of torment that lies underground, I felt as if I had lost the last thread of my faith in humanity…but today, my heart is full of certainty that Syria has been born again, and that it will rise stronger than before.”
She also sent a message to the Syrian people: “Children of my country, you are my children, and these words are from the heart: Live in love and tolerance. It is enough torment and pain.. Do not harm each other, and do not hold each other accountable for the past.. This country is safe, and today we all need it.. Syria is a trust in your neck.” And with your protection, which is under the protection of the Most Merciful.”
