The Head of State receives a written message from the Syrian President relating to the fraternal relations between the two countries, delivered by Abdullah bin Zayed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received a written message from Ahmed Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, relating to the fraternal relations between the two countries.

The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, when he received Asaad Hassan Al Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic.

During the meeting, the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and a number of sister countries were discussed.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Asad Al Shaibani strongly condemned and denounced the brutal and terrorist Iranian missile attacks, and affirmed the right of countries that were subjected to these attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to maintain the security of their citizens, residents and visitors, in accordance with the provisions of international law.

Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani also affirmed Syria’s full solidarity with the UAE and its support for everything that would preserve its security and stability.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks to Asaad Hassan Al Shaibani for his country’s position in support of the UAE.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the fraternal relations between the two countries, paths of joint cooperation, and ways to enhance them in a way that achieves their mutual interests and brings goodness and prosperity to their brotherly peoples.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Asaad Al Shaibani, stressing the UAE’s support for the brothers in the Syrian Arab Republic and everything that contributes to meeting their aspirations towards achieving comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity.

During the meeting, the two sides also reviewed the latest developments in the situation in the region, and the importance of giving priority to the language of dialogue and diplomatic means to resolve crises and outstanding issues, in a way that contributes to maintaining regional and international security.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State.
