The “Big Five” exhibition attracts 85,000 visitors

The 45th edition of the “Big 5 Global” exhibition, which was held at the Dubai World Trade Center between November 26 and 29, concluded, with the support of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in the UAE. The event received 85,000 visitors from all over the world. It represents a milestone in the urban construction and development scene in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.
The significant increase in international attendance by 75% year-on-year reinforced the event’s reputation as an ideal meeting point for the construction and urban development sectors. Speaking about the 45th edition, Josine Heymans, Senior Vice President at the organizing company, DMG Events, said: “The tremendous growth in international participation confirms the value that the Big 5 Global exhibition provides to stakeholders from about 165 countries. This impressive achievement highlights the event’s critical role in driving cooperation, while the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region is witnessing an unprecedented construction boom.”
This year, the exhibition welcomed more than 25 national pavilions, allowing for rich displays of creativity, technology and expertise from all over the world. The national pavilions from Germany, India, Italy, Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, China, the United States of America, and others highlighted innovation and global expertise, enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange, and business growth to drive impactful partnerships.
Tamkeen’s Chief Growth Officer, Khaled Al-Bayat, confirmed the impact of the exhibition on Bahraini companies, and said: “The participation of Bahraini companies in the exhibition achieved great success in terms of the level of communication, knowledge exchange, and partnerships concluded within the growing construction industry, and this is evidence of the quality and potential of Bahraini companies for growth.” Expansion and competition are not only local, but also on a regional and global scale.”
