“Dubai Roads” launches “sharing bus trips” via smart applications

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai launched the “Bus Ride Sharing” initiative, which allows passengers to participate in the use of minibuses through the reservation system through smart applications, in a move that aims to provide an easy and fast means of transportation and provide innovative transportation solutions to the emirate’s residents and visitors in cooperation with three specialized companies. The Executive Director of the Public Transport Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority, Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, said in a press statement yesterday: “Through this initiative, we aim to attract and attract new segments of society to use a fast and comfortable means of transportation that in many cases replaces the use of private vehicles, and this contributes to The initiative practically improves the flow of traffic on the streets and roads of Dubai, and the service does not depend on specific lines such as public bus lines. The authority indicated that it has contracted with three specialized companies to provide this service with small buses, at a competitive, variable tariff throughout Dubai, to provide advanced and reliable transportation services to the public from various segments of society, explaining that the service provides options for a single trip or weekly and monthly subscriptions.

Bahrozian added: “These buses operate on demand, and reservations will be made through three smart applications: (Citylink Shuttle), (DrivenBus), and (Fluxx Daily) affiliated with three companies specialized in this field. The service will initially start operating through 20 A small bus for each of the companies responsible for managing and operating the service through the aforementioned applications. The capacity of these buses ranges between 13 and 30 seats, and the value of the transportation tariff will be variable based on the distance traveled and the demand for transportation. Service.
