Three new astronomical shows at the Sharjah Space Complex

The Sharjah Space and Astronomy Complex launched three new astronomical shows within the programs of the Sharjah Planetarium during the month of August, bringing the total number of shows offered by the dome to 28, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance scientific culture and spread knowledge of space and astronomy sciences through innovative educational and interactive experiences.

The new shows include the films “Explore Space and Astronomy,” “Northern Lights,” and “The Amazing Adventure in the Solar System,” which aim to enrich visitors’ experience and introduce them to space and astronomy using the latest display technologies inside the planetarium.

Director of the Sharjah Planetarium, Fatima Mohammed Al Khatri, said that the launch of the new shows comes within the framework of the complex’s keenness to develop its scientific content and provide interactive experiences that combine scientific accuracy and visual dazzle, which contributes to simplifying the concepts of space science and astronomy for various segments of society.

She added that the displays provide an immersive experience that inspires visitors, especially children and youth, to explore the secrets of the universe and enhance their interest in space sciences and astronomy, thus supporting the complex’s mission to spread scientific culture and consolidate Sharjah’s position as a leading destination in this field.
