929 aircraft registered in the UAE

Figures issued by the General Civil Aviation Authority revealed that the total number of aircraft registered in the UAE reached 929 aircraft, including 520 aircraft belonging to national carriers.

According to data sent by the Authority to Emirates Today, the fleet of national carriers in the Emirates includes 504 passenger aircraft, in addition to 16 air cargo aircraft.

The data showed that the number of private aircraft registered in the country reached 87 aircraft, operated by 14 companies.

The General Civil Aviation Authority previously expected that passenger traffic at UAE airports would reach about 150 million passengers during the current year, compared to about 134 million passengers the previous year.

The UAE has six national carriers, and during the first eight months of this year, the number of flights operated by these carriers reached 4,807 weekly flights, to and from various countries of the world, in addition to 10 airports, including eight international airports, which are classified among the best and busiest in the world. .

During the first eight months of this year, the country’s airports received more than 97.9 million passengers, a growth rate of 12.6%, compared to 86.9 million passengers for the same period last year.

National carriers continued to expand their destinations for travelers, supported by the UAE’s leading position as a preferred global destination for tourism and business, as well as the recovery in travel demand, which reflects the strength and competitiveness of UAE airlines, and their success in gaining great international trust.

Based on data from last August, national carrier flights reach about 606 destinations around the world, including shared destinations and cargo destinations.

On average, the country’s civil aviation network serves more than 400,000 passengers daily and more than 12 million passengers monthly, while transporting more than 10,000 tons of goods daily. The country’s air transport sector is linked to cooperation and partnership agreements with more than 90% of countries. The world, with a total of 189 air transport services agreements. The Middle East region represents 13% of the UAE’s air network with countries around the world, according to TRA data.
