“Abu Dhabi Health” expands the scope of “Sanadcom” to include all residents of the emirate
The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, the regulatory body for the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, announced the expansion of the scope of the “Sanadcom” initiative to facilitate procedures for the relatives of the deceased to include all residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Through the initiative, support is provided to complete the services required in the event of death, starting with the issuance of a certificate. Death, obtaining a permit to bury the body, and preparing it for travel and other services. The “Sanadcom” initiative comes within the framework of the keenness to simplify and facilitate procedures for the families of the deceased, especially in light of the difficult circumstances they are going through.
The Sanadcom team communicates directly with the families of the deceased immediately after the announcement of the death report to console them and provide the necessary support to complete the subsequent procedures in accordance with the initiative, in addition to receiving a text message with all the details.
In cooperation with the Community Contributions Authority – Together, to support the families of the deceased residents and to alleviate their burdens in difficult times, the Authority bears all fees for issuing the death certificate, ambulance transportation, and other services such as embalming and transporting the body.

The initiative, in an additional step to facilitate procedures for the family of a deceased resident of the emirate, and in addition to the possibility of submitting it through a representative of the Sanadcom team, will allow the submission of transactions related to death in health facilities in the emirate if the death occurred in the health facility, where the role of responsible doctors has been activated. In health facilities to complete the procedures and transactions related to death within the “Sanadcom” initiative in the facility, where the responsible doctor completes the death report and submits the necessary death-related permits on behalf of the family of the deceased after obtaining Their consent.
The initiative is implemented by activating cooperation and electronic connectivity, which was led and supported by the Department of Government Empowerment, between seven government agencies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, namely the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, the Judicial Department, the Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund, and the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, and Al Ain Distribution Company.

Since its launch in January 2024, the “Sanadcom” initiative has succeeded in helping the families of deceased citizens complete all the procedures and transactions related to the death that they should have undertaken, without any effort.
The “Sanadcom” initiative was launched with the aim of simplifying and facilitating the procedures for the relatives of the deceased who are citizens of the United Arab Emirates, starting from issuing the death report, until disbursing the retirement pension to those entitled to it.
