5 tips for travelers at Dubai International Airport during the peak of winter

The number of passengers at Dubai International Airport is expected to reach more than 5.2 million passengers during the period from 13 to 31 December, and the airport expects that the average daily number of passengers will reach 274 thousand passengers during this period. Dubai Airports affirmed its commitment to ensuring a smooth travel experience for all travelers during the peak period, providing 5 tips for travelers to make their journey as smooth as possible:

1. Check in early

Emirates guests can use home check-in, early check-in and other check-in facilities distributed in the city. As for other airlines, passengers must arrive at least three hours before take-off time.

2. Safety and security:

You can save time by placing metal items and electronic devices in your hand luggage and adhering to regulations for carrying liquids and gels. Allowed portable electronic devices, power banks and spare batteries are prohibited from being placed in checked baggage and must be carried in carry-on baggage.

3. Use of smart gates:

Families traveling with children over the age of 12 can use smart gates to speed up the passport control process

4. Planning your trip:

Please make sure to arrange your travel documents and check your baggage allowance and check the airline regulations to avoid any surprises.

5. To avoid crowding:

You can use the Dubai Metro for easy access to and from Terminals 1 and 3. Passengers are only allowed to enter the departure lounges during peak times, so it is best to say goodbye to your loved ones before heading to the airport.
