1.5 million visitors to Dubai’s night beaches

The night beaches in Dubai received about 1.5 million visitors more than 18 months after their opening in May 2023, as part of the beaches of Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, and Umm Suqeim 1, which have a total length of 800 meters, as part of Dubai Municipality’s plans to develop and provide public beaches. With services and facilities that guarantee the highest levels of comfort, luxury and quality of life for its visitors, residents and tourists, in accordance with the comprehensive plan to develop Public beaches in Dubai.
Ibrahim Jumaa, Director of the Public Beaches and Water Canals Department at Dubai Municipality, confirmed that the demand that the night beaches have witnessed since their opening reflects the success of the project designed by Dubai Municipality to provide a unique tourism and entertainment experience that allows residents and tourists to enjoy the beauty of Dubai’s beaches at night, and guarantees them the highest levels of comfort, luxury and quality of life. As part of its integrated efforts to make Dubai the world’s leading city in the field of quality of life, and among the best and most important global tourist destinations.
He explained that Dubai Municipality has prepared the night beaches to be suitable for receiving people of determination and the elderly and making them friendly to them, by providing floating chairs for swimming, qualifying the lifeguard crew to serve them, and designing a fully equipped area as a rest area for them, in accordance with the “Dubai Code for a Qualified Environment,” in addition to improving the technical characteristics. To raise the level of security and safety for its users.
Dubai Municipality was keen to provide night beaches with integrated services and equip them with electronic screens to disseminate awareness and educational information, in addition to lighting systems that enable visitors to enjoy swimming there 24 hours a day.
It has also allocated a qualified rescue crew to serve visitors, including an operations manager, an assistant operations manager, 3 rescue supervisors, and 16 qualified lifeguards, in addition to providing it with the latest devices, equipment and beach bicycles to achieve all security and safety standards and requirements for those visiting those beaches.
The municipality has set the period for night swimming at these beaches from sunset until sunrise the next day, making the Emirate of Dubai unique in providing this type of experience in the region.
Dubai Municipality supervises the management of the water canals and public beaches in the emirate, as well as developing their infrastructure and providing them with the latest attractive integrated services and facilities that enhance the well-being and happiness of residents, residents and tourists alike, and provide them with an ideal entertainment experience on Dubai’s beaches.
