Shabwa, December 22nd / WAM / This morning, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority launched the “Winter Clothing” campaign in a number of remote and desert areas in the Yemeni Shabwa Governorate, with the aim of providing the necessary winter clothes and needs for the poorest families, displaced people, and nomadic Bedouins who were affected by the severe cold wave that affected the poorest families. This campaign comes as an immediate response to the needs of residents affected by the cold wave in a number of areas of Shabwa Governorate, and reflects the commitment of the Emirates Red Crescent to the principle of human solidarity and care for the most needy groups in society.
Sheikh Rajeh Saeed Bakrit, member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, praised the ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts of the United Arab Emirates in Yemen, through its humanitarian and charitable arm, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, in providing humanitarian aid to the poorest families and those affected by the severe cold wave who are facing dire living conditions. difficult, and in a way that contributes to alleviating the burden on citizens there and improving their living conditions.
In turn, Majid bin Saree, Director of the Emirates Red Crescent in Shabwa, explained that this campaign includes distributing winter clothes and blankets to the displaced, nomads and the poorest families who live in the remote and desert areas of the governorate, expecting 1,520 individuals to benefit from it.
For their part, the beneficiaries of this aid expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Emirates Red Crescent for its continuous support and contribution to alleviating their suffering, and stressed that this aid will contribute to providing protection and warmth for their children during the winter.
