"That..and the red dress" At the Neapolis International Festival for Children’s Theater in Tunisia

The Egyptian Ministry of Culture participates in the puppet play “She…and the Red Robe” It was chosen to represent Egypt in the 37th Neapolis International Children’s Theater Festival, which will be held from December 22 to 29 in the city of Nabeul, Tunisia.

 

 The Egyptian play competes in 75 performances. From 14 countries participating in the festival, including Spain, France, Belgium, Russia, Hungary, China, Indonesia, and from the Arab countries Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Bahrain, The play is produced by the Ministry of Culture, represented by the Cairo Puppet Theater, affiliated with the Theater Artistic House, written and written by screenwriter Walid Kamal, and directed by Nadia Al-Shuwaikh. The great Hala Fakher, the young star Mayan Al-Sayed, the great artist Sami Maghawry, and the artists Amr Ramzy, Tamer Farag, and Essam. Al-Shuwaikh, Ashraf Tolba, and the two emerging artists Dalia Tariq and Reem Tariq, who plays the role of Dhat in some live scenes on stage.

 

She also performs some expressive show dances on stage, composed by And arranged by musician Hani Shenouda.

 

The events of the play revolve around children’s relationship with social media, and their ambitions and dreams, which have changed with the presence of… Mobile phones and the Internet, so they began to dream of getting rich quickly without any effort, and without paying attention to the dangers of social media and the evil people who lurk for young people and children, which is what gets the heroine, a girl in middle school, into trouble, inspired by the famous story of Little Red Riding Hood, but in a different modern form, and also inspired by songs. Traditional songs such as “Fathi, Warda, when will my father come?” Treated in a modern way suitable for children.

 

The puppets of the play are sculpted by Muhammad Amin, costumes by Hoda Al-Sajini, decor by Shadi Qatamesh, lighting by Abu Bakr Al-Sharif, performances by Mostafa Hajjaj, mixing and soundtrack by Sharif. Al-Wasimi.
